NEEPU has achieved an important breakthrough in its scientific and technological work these five years.NEEPUundertakes 7 scientific programs from the “973 Program”, the “863 Program”, Sci-Technical Support Programs and Sci-Technical Important Programs.NEEPUimplements 58 programs, many of which are supported by National Natural Science Fund, hosts 1 National Social Sciences Fund for Arts, 310 provincial vertical research programs, over 1300 other research programs.NEEPUreceives a funding of about 80,000,000 yuan.

NEEPUwins 2 National Scientific and Technological Progress Prize, 58 Provincial and Ministerial Scientific and Technological Progress Prize, including 6 first prizes, 25 second prizes and 27 third prizes. 95 invention patents are granted. 5262 academic theses are published, among which 2337 are included in SCI, EI and ISTP. In Jan. 2013, jointly approved by Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Education, the university science park ofNEEPUbecame a national university science park.
